ABOUT TRAVEL VACCINES
Traveling provides an enjoyable experience for people of all ages, as they are exposed to unique cultures, new sites, and an environment completely unlike the one they know. However, since we are exposed to new and different surroundings when we travel, visiting other countries could lead someone to get sick or contract an illness that doesn’t exist where they’re from. At University Urgent Care, our on-the-clock emergency care team provides vaccinations for individuals who are about to travel abroad.
Before going abroad, you and your family members should be up to date on your routine vaccinations, the typical vaccinations that U.S. citizens receive based on their age, health, and other factors. Depending on the country you’re visiting, you may be required to have a certain injection or recommended particular vaccines for preventive care. During your appointment with one of our skilled care providers, we will cross-check which vaccines you need to ensure that you are able to enjoy your trip safely and comfortably without having to worry about harmful illnesses.
